A man flies to a different state to attend a wedding of a friend, he then rents a car to drive the extra 40 minutes to said wedding, he gifts the bride & groom of course then drives the 40 minutes back to where he is staying then the next day flies back home. Three months later he receives an e-thanks which states that the groom is sending them this way to save on postage. Save on postage? Hello, the least they could do was send a paper thank you to those who came from out of state & paid a crap load more than locals to spend their happy day with them. Now I ask you, who does that?

Worst Economic News In A While, For Me Anyway!!
Blockbuster. (BBI; about 60,000 employees; stock down 57%). The video-rental chain has burned cash while trying to figure out how to maximize fees without alienating customers. Its operating income has started to improve just as consumers are cutting back, even on movies. Video stores in general are under pressure as they compete with cable and Internet operators offering the same titles. A key test of Blockbuster's viability will come when two credit lines expire in August. One possible outcome, according to Valueline, is that investors take the company private and then go public again when market conditions are better.
If Blockbuster falls I may cry...I am a bit of a Blockbuster junkie & there is no way I could start using Netflix or something, the best part about renting a movie is browsing the store & reading the backs of all the movies & then renting it & watching it that night, not waiting until the next day!
Krispy Kreme. (KKD; about 4,000 employees; stock down 50%). The donuts might be good, but Krispy Kreme overestimated Americans' appetite - and that's saying something. This chain overexpanded during the donut heyday of the 1990s - taking on a lot of debt - and now requires high volumes to meet expenses and interest payments. The company has cut costs and closed underperforming stores, but still hasn't earned an operating profit in three years. And now that consumers are cutting back on everything, such improvements may fail to offset top-line declines, leading Krispy Kreme to seek some kind of relief from lenders over the next year.
If Krispy Kreme falls I think I'll go insane, how in the hell can I cope through hard times without their sugary goodness?

Joe Won't Shoot You
Well guys, over the last few months I've been giving you all kinds of tips on dating & the shit I've been putting up with but today my friends I will tell you a story, a story of a crazy business owner who went insane on my friend Jen, well for a while there they were insane on each other & that was a lot to handle! Ok so I'll give you some basic info that is needed to bring us to the reason I posted this to begin with. Joe is a business owner of a prominent bar in Dearborn & in this bar is where Jen & Joe met. Joe is married and doesn't seem to care much I guess because he was seeing Jen & god knows who else for years, I'm sure he's probably still seeing other women but since I'm not around much anymore it's hard to know for sure but some things never change, lets just put it that way. Ok so Jen & I lived together for some time so I was inadvertently stalked by Joe daily which was creepy, he would drive by & honk every single night...so annoying. Jen & Joe had a very tumultuous relationship for like 5 years and one summer she hit him right in the face & broke the bone under his eye, this was funny. After the broken face incident things started to change a bit & Jen started to understand that life was best without this douche bag. They both ended up taking out restraining orders on each other a few years back & that is basically what leads us here...due to the luxuries of community websites like Myspace & Facebook we can all stay in contact with people we love, like & loathe all at the same time, how awesome right? Not so much because you end up with shit like this coming through:
"Jenny,Nice hipps, hows life any better? i want to own a hand gun. i promise not to shoot you with it. maybe how about taking off my hand cuffs? Joey"
So, what do you think, should she release the PPO & let Pound Cake (his nickname, if you saw him you'd get it) get a hand gun & not shoot her with it?The fact that he can't even properly spell hips makes me say no, plus the fact that I know the entire history of this situation also makes me lean toward no but part of me is thinking that she does live in another state now so maybe she should let him. I mean, I'm sure having the gun will provide entertainment for all of us in some way when he gets thrown in jail for pulling it on someone at the bar or accidentally shooting himself or some other dumb ass incident so really, this is a toss up!!

Movie Review

Ok folks He's Just Not That Into You was freaking great! Now, I've read the book about 5 times I'd say and while the movie resembles the book the book is non-fiction so the ending isn't as happy. Now, in the grand scheme of things the movie contradicts the book for the most part, at least closer to the end...during the movie & building of all of the relationships they are very similar & I enjoyed watching these scenarios that I read about play out on the screen. The movie is a pretty honest portrayal of women & how they perceive relationships & men & the crazy things that we actually believe that couldn't be any further from reality. I don't know why it is that women always want to "read into" everything and make excuses for the behavior of straight up assholes...why would we want to be with an asshole? Who knows but it's pretty hard to not turn into one of those women once in a while, trust me...it just happened to me!! Anyway, while this is basically a chick flick I don't think it would really be off limits to men especially if you have the kind of man who watches Desperate Housewives with you on Sundays. There are hot chicks in the movie too which keeps the interest of the men & you get to see Scarlett Johansson in her bra so that's a plus! Ginnifer Goodwin's character Gigi was my favorite, reminded me most of myself but more neurotic & intense than I am. So, I give this one 3 (of 4) olives so go check it out, it was funny and sweet and honest and oh yeah Jennifer Connelly was quite unlikeable unfortunately. Oh, and to the bitch that was sitting behind me, did you have to comment on every scene? Did you have to kick my chair a hundred times? Did you have to constantly be sniffling & coughing for no reason? You suck!!!

James vs. Knowles

LOL, I just read an article which said that Etta James doesn't like Beyonce & thought that her performance of At Last at one of the inaugural balls was terrible & said "You know that woman he had singing for him, singing my song, she's going to get her ass whipped", ha ha ha ha. She also states that she can't "stand" Beyonce, lol. Now I'm not a huge fan but I like Beyonce and I also like Etta James & being that she is the original I'm going to have to take her side on this one! You tell em Etta, a remake is ever as good as the real thing anyway.

Puff Puff Phelps

Michael Phelps is a big fat stoner...so effing what? The kid won a bunch of gold medals & I think a little herbal enjoyment is in order after working that hard...don't you? Everyone is freaking out "oh no, he smoked pot" well if a stoner can clean up at the Olympics like that imagine what he could have done had he not been puffin the ganj. Personally I'm all for it, it isn't like he was using roids or something else to enhance his performance & the Olympics are over so I say toke it up Phelps but don't forget to pass :)

Damn Shadow!!

Friggin Punxsutawney Phil saw his damn shadow today which means that winter will continue for 6 more weeks. Dude, I'm so over this shit season, I'm sick of wearing a scarf & gloves, I'm sick of having my windows closed, I'm sick of the fact that Ritter's isn't open, I'm sick of my friends not coming over, my opened toed shoes are sick of not being worn, I'm tired of filling up the humidifier every night, I'm tired of a sunless existence, I'm tired of having to battle the snow in my parking lot at home...even when it hasn't snowed in weeks, I'm tired of having no social life because winter makes me crazy & I hate leaving my house, I'm tired of being scared for my life just to drive to work because the roads are so awful, I'm sure Doug is totally sick of me taking his car to avoid the aforementioned terror, this could go on forever really but basically I'm sick & freaking tired of winter, period!!!!!!
