Haim Intervention

So, I missed it but can’t wait for the freaking rerun of the intervention: Corey Haim on The Two Coreys! While there is no info about this ep on the Two Corey’s website it appears that it aired this past Sunday (8/3) so I have got to do a search for a rerun & DVR that crap. The best part about it is who was involved…Feldman, Mrs. Feldman (Susie), Pauly Shore, and Todd Bridges!!!

Morgan Freeman Update

As if Morgan’s car accident and hospitalization weren’t bad enough, him & his wife of 24 years Myrna Colley-Lee are calling it quits. Apparently they have been separated the better part of this year and have finally filed.

Sporting Updates

Looks like Brett Favre was traded to the NY Jets.

Not only is Paul Hamm out of the Olympics due to the pain from his recently broken right hand and his strained left rotator cuff, but on top of that his twin brother Morgan Hamm has also had to back out due to injury. After a 5 month rehab for a muscle he tore in his chest, Morgan’s also injured ankle has been causing extreme pain as the bone spurs are digging into his tibia (ouch). Looks like we wont be seeing the fantastic physique of either twin this Olympic season, boo.

It's Jail For You Kwame!!

Kwame was sent to jail this morning!! Apparently he made an unauthorized business trip to Windsor & though he apologized it didn't matter. He has to post a bond of $75,000 or get his lawyers to convince the court to overturn their decision before he can be released. The only problem this poses is the fact that there is no current Deputy Mayor since Anthony Adams is currently working for the Water & Sewerage Department. We'll see what unfolds from here!!

My Makeup, My Makeup...

We all remember the old commercial for the zoo (if not see below) with all of the animals running around getting ready for the zoo to open and lucky for all of us, the zoo will remain open with the help of our tax dollars. It seems as though Oakland & Wayne counties appreciate the zoo more than Macomb county does being that O & W voted 3 to 1 while Macomb only voted 2 to 1, perhaps it’s because they live farther from it that its closing wouldn’t impact them too much. I don’t see why people wouldn’t have voted for it considering that the tax isn’t all that much…the average $200K homeowner will be taxed an extra $10 a year (sweet news for renters) and this minimal tax increase will generate an extra $15Mill a year for the preservation and operations of our lovely zoo!

Eyes, 2 Weeks Later

Ok kids, my eyes don't look any better to me, in fact they might look worse...it could be due to all of the alcohol I consumed this weekend but who knows, I guess we'll see again in 2 weeks & I'm hoping it's a noticeable improvement!

Quit Crying!

Now, I have to bitch about something that I’ve been hearing about. A friend of mine “Logical” works with this young girl “Crier”, well not super young she’s 26 & her boyfriend “Smart” is 37. Anyway, Smart told her that he might have a job in Florida so he might be moving. They have been together for like 4 or 6 months & she is all tore up about it! Crier has been rolling into work and sobbing all day, acting like her boyfriend of 10 years told her he’s moving to France. She has been sent home early almost every day because she’s too depressed to work. She was sent to see one of the therapists at work to help her with her problem and then was sent home after that. To my knowledge she has not had to use any of her sick/personal/vacation time while sitting at home crying, she can just have the time off unpaid…for what? Her boyfriend may or may not be moving to Florida! My guess is that Smart realized she was crazy so he told her about the “job offer” so he could fake move to FL and never have to see her again! Now, Logical was bitching about Crier to her co-workers & they accused her of being insensitive. Insensitive? Are you freaking kidding me? I’m sorry, but you should not bring your personal life to work nor should you allow work to flow into your personal life, when you punch in/out that’s when your personal life starts/stops. Logical finally lost it & told Crier that her behavior was extremely inappropriate for work & if she was so broken up about this then she should see a therapist on her own time but in the mean time, buck up & get back to work instead of letting all of the work pile up on your coworkers. I can’t believe the other coworkers didn’t have an issue with it too…picking up all the slack of some overemotional broad is not the way I would want to spend my days!! Wanna know the best part? He didn't ask her to move with him if he gets the job...hence the reason I think he's pulling the Chandler Bing (with Janice) & lying about moving!

Morgan Freeman In Serious Condition

Morgan Freeman was in a car accident late Sunday night and is in serious condition in a hospital in Memphis, TN. The accident happened about 90 miles from the hospital and apparently was so bad that Morgan had to be removed from the vehicle via the jaws of life. His car was airborne when it left the highway leaving him in a ditch. He was lucid at the time of removal from the vehicle and joking on the scene, this was right around midnight last night. Ok, so Christina Applegate has been diagnosed with breast cancer, she caught it very early & is expected to have a full recovery.

One of my faves Gossip Girl smoked out the competition at the Teen Choice Awards although I have to say that I don’t think teens should be watching Gossip Girl, these high school kids on the show are just drunks, whores, and rich bitches who never suffer real consequences for their actions and that is nothing like reality but I love it! See 90210 was also very similar to that with the rich kids and whores (not as much with the drunks) but it always seemed like each episode had a lesson to be learned where GG doesn’t.

Kathy Griffin was offered a spot on the new season of Dancing With the Stars and she turned it down, stating, “I can’t even touch my toes”.

On a personal note regarding the weekend me & my crew headed down to the Dearborn Homecoming, we got drunk, watched fireworks, listened to Eddie Money, and then hit up the bars afterward…all in all it was a great weekend. I had a very interesting cab ride with Karen & our Jamaican cabbie Bah on Saturday night after the bar but I will say that today, I’m not feeling so hot. I contemplated calling off of work but I only have 1 sick day & I knew if I called off today that sometime within the next 2 months (when I’ll have another day) I’d get super sick & then be forced to come to work, but I’m feeling progressively worse than when I woke up. I keep telling myself that since I’m already here there is no point in going home but my stomach keeps arguing with me. The mere thought of my futon & a movie is extremely appealing right now but I hate to “waste” sick time. I'll just cross my fingers and hope for the best.
