Hasselbitch is Pregnant Again

Poor kid!! I can't stand this chick, I really wish she would just go back to being a nobody & leave the American public at peace. She said that she was pregnant for a couple months & had no idea, she kept saying she had...get this...electionitis. WTF is that supposed to be? She also said she realized that it wasn't that, she was "knocked up". What a very lady like statement to make about yourself & your unborn child. I hope the baby is a Democrat & comes out wearing an Obama t-shirt!!

Jessica Simpson Is Fat, Probably From All The Chili!

Ok so it was reported that Jessica Simpson had gained some weight and her sister was all pissed that Fox News would report such awful things. Well, personally, it's not the fact that she stopped working on her arms or chose to wear such un-flattering clothing, it's the fact that all of this was discovered at her most recent "concert" which took place at a freaking chili cook-off in Florida?! I could care less if she ate the whole lot of Little Debbie snacks at the grocery store, because the less skinny girls there are running around the better I look but WTF happened to this chicks career? Best & Worst of the SAG's

Ok so I’m a couple days behind but I’ve been busy!! I have to say that the SAG awards are one of my favorite shows mainly because they are short & they don’t give technical awards, it’s all about the actors which is who I tune in to see. I was only able to catch a little bit of the red carpet so I had to watch the show to see what people were wearing. Now, it was hard to come up with only a top 3 this year so I have my favorite 4 ladies, my least favorite 4 ladies with a couple extra nods to those who were a mess but not a hot mess. I have 3 hot men & 1 train wreck…really, it’s hard to pick good/bad when it comes to the men because they all wear pretty much the same outfit!

My Best Dressed Ladies are as follows:

Claire Danes, although she needs to eat something
Diane Lane
Jenna Fischer, now she didn’t look awesome but she looked the best she’s ever looked so I have to give her props for that.
Evan Rachel Wood was actually my favorite, I don’t know if I like her but I really liked her dress/hair/accessories

My Best Dressed Men are as follows:

Brad Pitt, less the stache & I give him props for his pocket square matching his girls dress
Will Arnett
Anthony Hopkins was my favorite, very classic

Now, for the WORST of the worst:

Ladies:

Sad to say Angelina Jolie, I love her but was not feeling her boring blue dress & awful up-do
Amy Adams, the front of her dress looked like it had a tumor on it
Eva Longoria, come on…that dress looked like a glorified figure skating costume
Teri Hatcher was by far the worst of all of the women, she looked like she wrapped herself in toilet paper & left the house, even the lady behind her is in shock over the hideous nature of said tp dress

Now I do need to point out some hideous things that I noticed about some of the other ladies, Susan Sarandon was in flip flops, Sally Field’s dress was falling apart, and Dana Delaney wore something out of her closet….very bad idea, she looked AWFUL but because she was wearing nobody I didn’t put her on the worst dressed list.

Mickey Rourke, the man actually had his hand in his pants when he met Kate Winslet…nuff said

Katie Stram is our new Miss America. Now, I didn't watch the pageant because now that I am an adult I have better things to do than watch a pageant on a Saturday night but it made me think how excited I would get for the pageants when I was a kid. It's very similar to the way I feel now about the Oscars I assume, looking forward to seeing all the dresses & pretty people all in one place & thinking that maybe, just maybe one day I'll be on that stage!! Well at any rate, congrats Katie, I read that you were fighting laryngitis so I hope you feel better & I hope they used a special microphone for you :)

So I don't know if any of you are watching the new Real World in Brooklyn but I decided to watch this season due to the post-op transgender chick, hot gay guy, guy who served in Iraq, a dancer girl & some other folks. I'm coming to find that my favorite person on the show is Chet, the self proclaimed straight guy who thinks very highly of himself & I have no idea why! This dude says some of the dumbest shit but I just heard the best. This aired on the episode that was on Wednesday night & he was out at the bar with some roommates & a friend of the guy with the abs who is a chick from Brooklyn & a model. He said "there is a strong attraction, I mean physical at least, she's a model & I'm Chet so..." So what dude, you aren't a model or even that attractive at least not to straight women & if you want to be "straight" then stop wearing the eye liner, you're not in a band, thanks!!

Fisting is something that only professionals who are being paid should really endure although I know that plenty of people participate in the activity that don't get paid for it & can I just say...OUCH!! I have a feeling that Kate Winslet will walk away with an award as will Frank Langella, but some people still seem to think that Mickey Rourke will take it...that, my friends is a scary thought!!

Stress, Stress, and More Stress!!

So my work had to let 11 people go this week due to the economy & fortunately I was not one of them, however some of my favorite people were :( Learning this information was very upsetting to me and I have been stressed out all week about it but today I started noticing the effects of this change. See, every change has to start with me and lets just say that the word overwhelmed is a complete understatement in relation to my work load. I have been busting my ass all week to try to make this transition easier for everyone but I'm starting to feel like nobody else really cares. I understand that those who are leaving don't care but those who have to stay and continue to work in these soon to be minimal size conditions are acting like "I survived so screw it". People keep turning in new work & then wanting to know why it isn't getting done right away like it was last week...well folks, it's kind of hard to deal with new information when I have to remove loads and loads of old information from about 8 different destinations. It doesn't help that my department was cut down to 2 from 3 (my work husband was let go which made me sad) so not only do I have to do my job but I have to learn another job so I can take half of it over when he leaves, yay! I know in a couple months everything will be back to normal & we will have adjusted to the changes but for now...every week is hell week!!!!! I am very thankful that I am still employed but I'm not thankful for all of the added stress this is bringing to my life. It feels better to vent, thanks for reading.

America is fat, big shock

So I was reading the Yahoo article on the worst foods in America yesterday & was very disappointed to learn that Chili's cut the Awesome Blossom from the menu! Granted this item has 1,700+ calories but it was still good & I don't know anyone who ate the whole thing themselves, hence the term appetizer. I noticed in the article a link to another article in Men's Health about healthy food that isn't healthy and you know what? I've decided that nothing is healthy, you can always find someone who will tell you that the organic strawberry you are about to eat is bad for you for one reason or another so I say just freaking eat! Don't eat too much fast food, regardless of what you are ordering, don't eat too much candy sugar free or not, drink less regular or change to diet pop, drink light beer, and exercise...if you follow these rules you won't get super fat & you will die a much happier not to mention full person :) After reading all this crap today I say if you are standing in line at your local Starbucks trying to decide whether to get the bran muffin or the chocolate one get the freaking chocolate one because you are only saving a handful of calories the other way. If you are going to indulge I say indulge just don't do it every day & stop reading all of these articles everywhere on what to eat & what not to eat...we all truly know what not to eat & the key is eating that stuff in moderation.

The Fantasy is Over

Ricardo Montalban died today at the age of 88 the cause of death was said to be age . Montalban was born in Mexico and while he starred in many MGM musicals he was best known here in the states as Mr. Roarke on Fantasy Island. Not So Golden Appearance

So did you guys watch the Golden Globes last night? I watched most of them & it was on in the background when I wasn't watching but I did see what most everyone was wearing of course. My favs & flops were as follows (number 1's are bold):

For some stupid reason Yahoo has J-Lo as one of the best dressed & in all honesty I thought Mickey Rourke looked better than she did! That gold lame material did absolutely nothing for J-lo...her ass was HUGE in that dress. I can't believe for one second that anyone thought she looked good, I've posted a photo of her & a photo of Mickey here for your review, you can't tell me that you think either one of them looks acceptable to leave the house let alone, hot or best dressed!

Now speaking of Mickey Rourke I can't believe that I now have to see The Wrestler since he won the Globe & it was nominated for a ton of other awards, I'm hoping it's one of those movies that looks so stupid & I end up falling in love with it like Rock Star, we shall see!!

Facebook Customer Service SUCKS!

Ok, so I joined Facebook not that long ago & had been enjoying using it quite a bit & had actually met up with all kinds of people that I hadn't heard from in years & I mean people I actually like, not idiots that I haven't seen in years because I chose not to see them. So anyway, when I arrived in Tennessee at my parent's house I jumped online to check my Facebook & I couldn't log in, by the way this was on Monday, December 22nd. So for some weird reason it's telling me that my password is incorrect but I know that it isn't because I was looking at my Myspace page at the time & I use the exact same login for both so I don't forget it. I try logging in numerous times only to be told that my e-mail address isn't on file & I can't log in. I check my e-mail from the account I used to attempt to log in & there is my Facebook confirmation email so I know it's the right address plus I know it's right because I'm looking at my Myspace page. I decide to notify Facebook of the issue & the next day I get an email to my address that they said was invalid asking me to reply to verify that is in fact my email address, so I do. I never heard back from them prior to leaving to come back to Detroit on the 29th...7 days! So I arrive back in the D & decide to try to access it at home because I'm probably still logged in so I go to the site & bam I'm in. I check my personal information & the login info that is shown is the login info I was using in TN so I chalk it up to things not working right in the south & carry on with my life. A week later I'm back at work & I go to login to Facebook & it's the same thing all over again so now I'm like WTF? I go home & change my password & verify my email address is correct & I log out, I try to log in using the updated information & it happens all over again..."this e-mail address is not on file"....are you kidding me? So at this point I'm furious...it has been 15 days & I can no longer log in at all on any computer and I cannot find a "contact us" link anywhere on the site. I opt to reply to the email they sent me again & wait 24 hours & get no response so I Google "Facebook contact us" and I get a link to contact them via e-mail on their site & I send them a message...I check yesterday (24 hours later) and have no response so I email them the same exact message again & today I still have no response! It has been just shy of 3 weeks & their "customer service" department has not responded to any of my messages. I think this is freaking bull shit & in my 31 years of life I have never had such poor customer service. I get better service at TJ Maxx & ladies, you know what I mean by this, I am thoroughly disappointed with Facebook, this would never happen with Myspace...ever!!! Just because the site is free doesn't give them the right to ignore the people using it, they claim to be one of the best sites around for finding old friends & helping your professional life yet they completely ignore their users. If they ever respond or get the issue fixed I may just close my account...why would I, or anyone for that fact want to be associated with a company who doesn't care about their customers?

Exploiting Kids

Ok, have you all seen this? Personally I think it's sick & disgusting. When you look at all the comments everyone just thinks this is the cutest thing, well I don't. Teaching a 3 year old (she obviously didn't learn it on her own) to mimic a grown ass married woman who is singing about things that a small child doesn't need to know about is disturbing & poor parenting if you ask me. Sure, the kid has moves but she doesn't need to be dancing around to Put A Ring On It, why not put her in dance classes where she can learn how to dance to music that is appropriate for kids? Sure, little kids acting grown up can be funny & cute but watching a little girl slap her own ass and dance around on camera is not cute, yes I laughed watching it, but more because I couldn't believe that any parent would do that. My guess is that they are hoping that Ellen will see the video & have her on the show because it's so adorable but all that proves is that they are using their child to try get ahead which is also sick & twisted. I discussed this with a friend of mine who caught her daughter a few years ago dancing in their computer room so she took video of it & her daughter didn't know, well she posted it on You Tube thinking it was cute & funny & some gross pervert left an "I'd tap that" message...she was 7!! Posting videos like this (they have numerous ones of this girl) on sites like You Tube is only feeding into the child molester mind set, it's just a bad idea all around & I wish parents would stop doing this to their kids, it's not cute & it's not safe either, wake up & take a look at the world today, do you really want your little girl plastered all over some creepy guys computer? I don't even like kids & I find this just sick & wrong!!

Bad Breath

So today I heard on the radio that Beyonce has the worst breath in show business. Apparently her breath is the reason that Nas broke up with her in the past & according to the story her breath is so bad she can't share a microphone with anyone else & her choreographer arranges routines so that others don't have to come face to face with her & deal with the stench. Obviously Jay-Z isn't affected by her issue so I tend to think that maybe he has the same problem, or...the sex is so good he just puts up with it! People say that she just doesn't seem to get the hint when offered Tic Tacs or gum or whatever so friends are suggesting an intervention, lol. With all the money she has why wouldn't she see someone about her issue? Well, I hope all works out for her & her funky mouth :)

Nip Tuck

OMG Nip Tuck was freaking awesome last night! I'm so glad to have the guys back as well as Liz of course and I just knew the second the episode went from intense murder/attack in the office to so sad downer story that Liz & Christian were gonna get it on this season. I don't know how I knew but I just did & then I saw the season preview & I was right! I feel bad for poor Christian though having breast cancer, he's so vain & self righteous I thought he deserved it while also feeling bad for the poor bloke. Now the star baby looks like it will be a good story line especially with Kimber wanting to give the baby lip injections...WTF? Nice parenting there trash bag!! Now we were talking earlier today & what's up with Sean pretending he still needs the chair? That must be hard work to have to do all this therapy & pretend that his legs don't work...what a pain in the ass! I can't wait until someone finds out that he can walk & to find out why he's pretending to not be able to walk. Is it the women & the being catered to all the time? Is it to keep from having to do surgery? Is it to seem more courageous to his students? Is it something else altogether? We don't know yet but I'm sure we'll find out soon enough!! Oh, I also think that the Indian kid is going to be pretty funny to have around this season.

Jett Travolta Dies

John Travolta's 16 year old son Jett died on Friday while in the Bahamas with the family. Apparently he had a history of seizures and while in their home he had one in the bathroom and fell and hit his head on the tub. John administered CPR until the EMT arrived but it was too late. The autopsy results are in but no statement has been made to say what the findings were. I think that they are going to be extra careful with this one after the death of Anna Nicole & her son raised so many questions that all pointed at the Bahamas...I think they would rather not have to deal with all of that scrutiny again. My heart goes out to the family & friends of Jett in this trying time.

Hope My DVR is Ready

Ok so today begins the winter viewing for myself & other TV addicts and I can't wait for some of these shows to start!! Today Gossip Girl comes back & thank God because I tend to have withdrawals from that one but I think that's it for my Monday other than The City. Tomorrow Nip Tuck starts & I've really been dying waiting for this one...I've watched it from the beginning & it's one of the most interesting shows on TV not to mention a real envelope pusher when it comes to their highly sexualized story lines. Staying on the FX line I'm very much looking forward to Wednesday's premiere of the second season of Damages which stars Glen Close as an evil lawyer bitch who will stop at nothing not even murder to get what she wants. Just like Nip Tuck this show is dark & mysterious & confusing...if this season is like the first one it will start at the end with a major question & via the back & forth story flopping will end with an answer. Now, FX is one of my favorite networks mainly because they don't do reruns but what sucks about that is you get X amount of shows & when it's over you have to wait like 9 months for it to come back!

So, next week I think it is Big Love comes back to HBO & that's a show that I love & on Showtime we have The L Word (see countdown on right side of page) & Secret Diary of a Call Girl as well as the premiere of a new show United States of Tara. This show looks good & stars Toni Collett & John Corbett and is basically about a mom/wife who suffers from MPD & has 4 different personalities so I totally plan to check it out. I think of everything that is coming on I'm most excited for L Word...it's the last season which makes me sad but I'm just dying to find out who killed Jenny!!

2009 May Be Prime

Well everyone it is now 2009 and I don't know about you but I don't feel any different. Well, actually I feel more lazy...I haven't done anything for like a week for the most part & it feels pretty good but I also know that it has to end sometime so my plan for today is to go home & clean my apartment. I think it is important to start the new year off in a clean & organized environment, I think it clears the head and preps it for what is to come, which hopefully is all good things!! With the economy in the shitter & a new President on the horizon I am so excited to see what this year will bring not only to me & my friends & loved ones but to the world as a whole. I am a bit skeptical of what is looming this year only because it's an odd numbered year & according to Wendy's mom that is never a good thing! I will stay hopeful though & push forward like everyone else and hopefully earn everything I deserve for myself this year by putting out good karma & hopefully getting it in return.

Last night was a great start to the new year with my closest friends and a great meal and a great band and great drinks...I couldn't ask for anything more, and I hope Megan had as much fun as the rest of us as it's her birthday today & the party was just as much for her as the rest of us.

So clean your houses, grab your sage sticks & smoke out every corner of the place to remove all the bad joo joo 2008 left behind & stay hopeful for the future. That being said I think it's time to hit up IHOP, I'm so happy they are open on the holiday it will sure get my year off to a great start. Tomorrow, on the other hand my friends...the gym, along with every other person who will give their all for about 2 weeks then slowly start dropping like flies. I'm actually pretty committed though, because really, I don't have anything else to do!!

I saw this online today & thought it was fitting, it's a whole year in about 40 seconds & I think the best part about it is the sounds & man, I can't wait for spring!!
