I am literally disgusted!

Hello, my name is Casey "O.J." Anthony!  The verdict is in & the bitch was found not guilty & is going to walk...oh no wait, sorry, she was found guilty of lying but that's about it.  I can't wait to see what kind of karmic retribution she gets for this.  What is wrong with our society that they just let someone like this walk away & give her the chance to breed again?!  I may not like kids but I don't wish harm on any of them but this dirty skank...well, she deserves whatever comes her way.

Peter Falk, dead at 83

Peter Falk of Columbo fame is dead at the age of 83.  Falk suffered from Alzheimer's & died at home last night, June 23rd.  Falk who is survived by his wife & 2 daughters will certainly be missed by all who loved him, including his fans.

Hangover Part 2

So last night we went & saw Hangover 2 & I was a little skeptical about it even though my mom had told me that it was hilarious & stupid which was what I was hoping for & she was right!  Sure the movie is basically the same movie as the first one but it's still a different story that just happens to be similar to the last one.

Mr. Chow had a much larger part than I expected & I was thrilled that he did, he's so damn funny & the way he is found...well, you'll have to see that for yourself.  I don't want to give anything away but I'm going to share this with you...Stu just seems to have the worst effing luck ever, ha ha ha, poor guy!

If you enjoyed the first one you need to see the second one, period, it's not up for discussion just get your happy ass to the theater & see it!

Something Borrowed

I went & saw Something Borrowed yesterday after finishing the book last week which I started reading not knowing they were making it into a movie & had to hurry up & finish.  First of all I need to note that the character Kate Hudson is playing (Darcy) is described as a tall, thin, brunette with an olive complexion so that gets it right off to a bad start but oh well.  The character played by Ginnifer Goodwin (Rachel) is a little more like what is described in the book & the rest of the cast, you can decide for yourself.  This post is loaded with spoilers.

Now, the actual movie wasn't bad, it might have been better had I not read the book but I thought Kate overacted a bit & wasn't looking her best either but I think she was newly pregnant which could have attributed to that.  My biggest issue about this movie was that they changed so much from the book & for no reason either, like they combined Hillary & Ethan into one character (Ethan, played by John Krasinski), they put Rachel in a brownstone building when she had a pretty comical doorman (which means no brownstone), at the end it was a jacket not a watch & Dex was clothed hiding in the kitchen, over the 4th they ran into his parents & didn't buy any dice, it seemed as though Rachel & Dex only hooked up the once before 4th of July when they had already been sleeping together a lot for a few months.  The movie focused more on Darcy & Rachel than Rachel & Dex & that really got on my nerves.  The book was about Rachel & Dexter, not Rachel & Darcy so I think that kind of made the movie too fluffy because we didn't get to see the struggle that Rachel & Dex were dealing with, all of the avoiding the talks or the attempts to talk that only ended in sex.  They didn't share the tension leading up to the weekend of the 4th when they had decided they would hammer everything out, and that was a pivotal moment in the book.  Ethan moving to London in the middle of the movie was pointless when he was there the whole time, he also wasn't into Rachel at all in the book but expressed his feelings in the movie, for what purpose?  The girl who played Claire was really annoying but not annoying like the Claire in the book, just plain annoying like maybe they should have kept Hillary & omitted Claire.  I wasn't happy about the end of the movie either (why must it always be happy?) because that's not how the book ended but I'm still glad I saw it because I so rarely read books that they make into movies & I know that the book is almost always better because of the length & detail but I really hate it when they are 2 separate entities with only hints of each other, it's not cool! 

Anyway, I give the movie 2 olives out of 4...I'd watch it again on cable but wouldn't pay to rent it.  Either read the book & skip the movie or see the movie first or you'll be disappointed.

Love & Other Drugs

I watched Love & Other Drugs over the weekend and it was good but it was too long & no matter how hard I try I can't buy Jake Gyllenhaal as a ladies man, he's ugly & will forever be Bubble Boy.  The movie is pretty much the story of the "gets every girl he wants" player kind of guy who actually falls for someone, someone who he was with for a strictly physical relationship in the beginning & then she gets pissed because he's gotten attached (kind of the My Best Friend's Girl story without all of hilarity) & then she starts to get attached & so on & so on. Now, the difference with this movie is that Anne Hathaway's character has Parkinson's, a very early diagnosis as she's like 30.  It's because of the Parkinson's that she doesn't want to get involved with anyone understandably so & it's also because of the Parkinson's that he detaches after falling in love...and so on.  Anyway, the movie is predictable, it has a ton of nudity in it & a lot of which was totally unnecessary & the story kind of drags on when you already know how it will end...it was almost 2 hours & after about an hour & a half I found myself flipping through a magazine & playing Words With Friends on my iPod.  So while I enjoyed the movie it could have moved along better & I'm glad I didn't pay to go see it because it wouldn't have been worth $10!  I give it 2.5 olives & my advice is to wait for cable.

Elizabeth Taylor Dies, 79

(CNN) -- Elizabeth Taylor, the legendary actress famed for her beauty, her jet-set lifestyle, her charitable endeavors and her many marriages, has died, her publicist told CNN Wednesday. She was 79.

Taylor died "peacefully today in Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles," said a statement from her publicist. She was hospitalized six weeks ago with congestive heart failure, "a condition with which she had struggled for many years. Though she had recently suffered a number of complications, her condition had stabilized and it was hoped that she would be able to return home. Sadly, this was not to be."

Hey guys, I'm sorry I missed posting horoscopes yesterday so here they are.  I totally didn't even realize that yesterday was Wednesday due to the fact that I was out of the office after having my wisdom teeth removed, talk about fun!  I spent 5 days on the couch in pain drifting in & out of sleep, popping pills like a junkie, reading magazines, watching TV & craving food I couldn't eat.  I'm finally starting to feel better today, the pain is pretty much gone & tomorrow is my last day of antibiotics, woot!  The only thing that is still getting in my way is the fact that I cannot open my huge mouth & honestly, all I want right now is a freaking sandwich!  It's St. Patrick's Day & I would love nothing more than a Reuben from Dagwood's but deconstructing a sandwich like that so it can be eaten with a fork completely ruins it & I couldn't even get a tiny Hostess donut in my mouth this morning without cutting it in half horizontally.  Anyway, if you are going to be out partying today do it safely & if you aren't then welcome to my club & someone please have a Reuben for me somewhere!!

Best & Worst dressed at the Oscars!!

Here are my choices for best dressed female, in order from least fave to most fave:

Mila Kunis is so hot & has been spot on all awards season, she looked amazing!!  I liked Camilla's dress because it is simple & chic & she looks banging in it.  Jennifer's dress is a beautiful color & a beautiful fit but because of all of her weight loss she has the deflated boobs going on so she needs to get them fixed because she keeps wearing dresses that show them off & they aren't in a state to be shown off.  My cousin went through this after she lost a ton of weight & she basically had to roll & stuff them into her clothes until she had them lifted.  Reese is simple & stunning & I think her hair might be the best part of this outfit.

Here are my choices for worst dressed female...this one was hard because there are a lot of choices & again I've put them in order of least offensive to most offensive with the last one being my worst dressed very possible of the entire awards season this year.

Sadly it's Marisa Tomei who I love dearly but the girl needs a stylist in a bad way.  Her dress looks purple in this photo, it looked navy on my TV when she was on the carpet & black on my TV when she was on stage but no matter what color it is the dress is still hideous, not to mention ill fitting on the top.  Amy Adams might not have been so bad had she skipped the jewelry...when you are wearing a high necked sequin gown you shouldn't wear a necklace, it's too much.  Melissa, well that dress is just plain ugly no matter how you slice it, u-g-l-y.  Cate appears to be wearing a toilet seat on the top half of her dress while Nicole looks very possibly the worst she ever has...her dress looks like it was made from one of Elvis' old show jumpsuits!

As for the boys...best dressed is:

And worst dressed is:

Russell Brand is definitely the worst dressed man of the night (no big surprise there) but his mom looked great! 

A little more of my thoughts on appearances, what was up with Scarlett Johansson's corpse colored lipstick &; the top of her dress?  I also hate to say it but Natalie Portman could have done way better...she looked like a bridesmaid, her dress, shoes & earrings were all the same color, who does that?
